When you are closed, it won’t happen. When you have an open mind to what can happen, you will win. The only part of failure is not trying something that can make you more successful. I failed is more powerful than “What if”
A big part of being an entrepreneur is not being desperate. When you force your business to grow too fast, you will kill it. You will make decisions not right for the brand. Take your time, start slow and price your items for growth.
Tell people your story. People want to connect with the person who they buy from – communique who you are. Your brand is who you are; no one can replicate it – you are unique.
What does BRAVE mean?
Brave is being authentic. Show up and let people know who you are. Share that part of your story that is not so pretty. People know when something is genuine as opposed to being sold.

Shontaye conquered her fear and ran a half marathon. Her lesson to you - You are not alone. Whatever race you are running, there are thousands of other people out there running the same race.
"If someone else has done it, it must be doable." Thus, you can do it too. You just have to figure out the steps and create a plan to follow the steps. As a beginner runner, Shontaye figured out the steps and created a plan; she got the running schedules for beginners, got the running shoes, got the trainer. The same method can go to someone starting a business. Figure out the tools and then go do it; stop getting ready and just start.
It might appear to be impossible, but you create possible out of it.
Running a business is a marathon not a quick sprint. You stay in the game; you keep making the sales calls. Just like running a marathon, business success doesn't happen overnight. You keep at it, and then you achieve the success you want.
You have to keep showing up: doing the speaking engagements, doing the sales calls - even if you are afraid. It is the same with a marathon. You just have to keep at it, keep showing up and then you win. The on-going commitment is what matters. Plant the seeds as you don't know which one is going to pop.

People have this idea, you just conquer fear and on the other side is heaven. But when you conquer your fear there is another level of fear. You are constantly conquering your fears – which are good as that’s the only way you grow. You don’t get over your fear as if you did you would stop trying.
You need to clean the emotional past closet. Clean the clutter, dig deep and face the past junk. Move past the feelings as opposed to moving around them. People don’t want to feel fear and they do everything to avoid it. Instead we need to go through it and get it out of our system.
What does BRAVERY mean?
Bravery is when you know what you want and you are willing to sacrifice whatever you need to sacrifice to get it and are willing to step into it.

Lack of confidence and not fear is what holds us back.
If everybody agrees with what you are doing, you must be doing something wrong. You cannot please everybody and you have to be unique. You have to show up, stand up and go above the need to be liked.
It’s not that more successful people are braver than everyone else; it’s that they are braver more than everyone else for 8 seconds more in a day. The 2 seconds to dial the phone, the 2 seconds to step onto the platform. That’s the bravery you need.
Bravery is full accountability and ownership. Take a look inside you and ask yourself what part did I play?

Be true to yourself. Get away from the noise and don’t just listen to what others are telling you. Sometimes you have to listen to your gut and do it your way.
Ask why you are running towards something. With fear, don’t just ask why you are running from it, but ask why you are running towards it. Examine why you are in the game and you might discover the reason for your fear.
Your coach is there to tell you to “Get It Done”. They need to call you on it. Your coach is not your counselor giving you months to figure it out – they need to call you on it now.
Know your why. You need to know your why to drive you to do those things you want to do and the things you don’t want to do. We all have a different why; no one’s why is any more or less important. However, you need to know your why to keep going.
What does BRAVERY mean?
Bravery means you want it so bad and even though you are scared – you will do it anyway.

In 2002, Minette launched a parenting magazine and it took off really fast. Minette could not get her arms around it – she was making large amounts of revenue but not profiting from it. The business was running like an expensive hobby.
Minette learned that it is imperative to look at the numbers. The more you look at the business numbers, the more you can pay yourself. It needs to be a goal.
Minette knew she was in the wrong business and living in the wrong place. Listen in as Minette shares how she found her BRAVE and decided to change direction in her professional and personal life.
For Minette, BRAVE means doing the right things. Not just courage but integrity; following the right path even when the path is hard. Minette took a leap and got rid of the what ifs. She knew it was the right thing to do and moved to California and started a new business.
Minette discovered the importance of putting a plan in place for your business, the significance of making decisions and taking actions that will shift you forward. It all starts with clarity. If you are not clear and don’t have a plan in place, nothing works. You need to have an end goal in mind. Here is where I am and here is where I want to be.
Lisa Rehurek left the corporate world to venture out on her own and start a business. Lisa did not have a business role model and was not sure what the future would be.
Lisa discovered her BRAVEST moments along the journey. She learned to maneuver through the emotions and the fear. Part of the journey is the navigation and Lisa discovered how to stay on course and come out on top.
Lisa also learned that being BRAVE means to just be who you are and you will attract the right people; the people who you want to work with will find you. You don’t need to pretend to be someone else - just be yourself. Follow your own yellow brick road.
Listen in and learn Lisa’s method to conquer the fear. Take note of the questions that Lisa developed:
1 – Where is the fear coming from? What story are you telling yourself?
2 – What is the worst that can happen?
3 – What is the best that can happen? Will you be satisfied if you don’t push through the fear?
By working through these questions, we can get a plan and take the steps forward to our SUCCESS.
Yvonne left the corporate world, was adopting a daughter and was wondering if she should go back to her full time job. Her BRAVE moment came when she decided not to go back and start her own business as a Virtual Assistant.
In the initial phase of launching her business, Yvonne stayed BRAVE and held onto the positive things, the end results. Sometimes you have to change the navigation and learn from your mistakes. Focus on the positive and the vision – to get through every fearful situation.
Yvonne was always the YES person; a true Yesaholic in her personal and professional life. Being a Yesaholic made her a workaholic.
Yvonne decided you cannot do everything and one of the BRAVEST things she did was hire a Virtual Assistant. Yvonne learned you can now be a Yesaholic instead of a workaholic.
Yvonne is a Virtual Assistant Matchmaker – make sure to listen in to hear about her valuable service to entrepreneurs.
Most small business entrepreneurs don’t know how to delegate tasks and monitor them. We don’t know how to do a thorough search to hire the right VA. What does this person really need to look like – there are more than just skills to look for. Yvonne created a model for finding the right VA based on the nitty gritty of what you need as a business owner. What you think should be delegated to a Virtual Assistant and what really should be are often two completely different things. As the Virtual Assistant Matchmaker, Yvonne helps you decipher the difference and find ways to get the biggest return on your Virtual Assistant investment.
To start with a new VA, you would only need to hire one for 5 hours a month. If you feel it is too much of an expensive, consider the following:
If you could just get an extra hour of week, what would that do for your business? Perhaps close a new deal? What are you going to do with the time to get the return? If you get a VA – it will let you focus on a money generating activity; imagine what will happen to your business. What would be the ROI?

If you don’t know who you are and what you stand for, you can’t help your clients. You have to go through the journey and find the answers to it. This is what Matthew Goldfarb of CorporateRenegade.com did when he set off soul searching for who he was and what he wanted out of life.
What did Matthew discover? You have to face the fear. It’s not about being fearless. It’s about having fear and doing it anyway. You need to acknowledge that you’re scared – it’s okay to be afraid. Then step through the fear by asking “What are the next steps to take to get some momentum so it starts to dissipate?”
Listen in as Matthew shares the life lessons he learned in his journey. You need to tell the truth – your truth; show who you are and stand brave. Stop dimming your life for the uncomfortableness of others. If you are not truthful with yourself, you are robbing it of the people who want you to show up. OWN IT and STEP FORWARD.
